Reformer Pilates studio set to open at Wednesbury Leisure Centre
12th December 2025
A brand new Reformer Pilates studio is coming to Wednesbury Leisure Centre, bringing a premium fitness experience to Sandwell for the first time. The development marks a significant investment in local health and wellbeing facilities, offering residents access to a modern, specialist studio designed to support strength, mobility and recovery.
A new fitness experience for Sandwell
Work to transform one of the existing studio spaces will begin in the new year, with completion expected in early February. The new Pilat3s Reformer studio will feature state-of-the-art equipment and a calm, contemporary environment designed to encourage mindful movement and controlled, effective exercise.
Reformer Pilates continues to grow in popularity due to its ability to build deep core strength, improve posture, support injury rehabilitation and enhance overall mobility. Its low-impact nature makes it suitable for a broad range of users, from beginners to those seeking targeted strength and stability training.
Enhancing facilities for local residents
To accommodate the new studio, a small number of existing classes will move to other spaces within the centre, ensuring all core sessions continue to operate. This transition period also provides an opportunity to refine the timetable so it better reflects the activities most valued by members.
Mark Wildman, Head of Operations at KORE and a Sandwell Business Ambassador, welcomed the investment and highlighted the importance of delivering high-quality, accessible facilities for local communities. The new studio represents a positive step in diversifying Sandwell’s fitness offer.
Looking ahead
Further updates, including details of a new Reformer Pilates membership, will be shared in the new year as work progresses. The arrival of the studio marks an exciting new chapter for Wednesbury Leisure Centre and reflects ongoing efforts to expand health and wellbeing opportunities across the borough.
